Setting Descriptions

When I walk out to the amazing play ground I feel the fresh air push against my face. The wet dirt makes a smelly smell. I see Gus running from an imaginary ice monster. I see the mist as thick as a blanket. I feel the cold metal under my hands as I swing across the bars. The bell bird sings me a happy tune. Everybody talks as they play happily. The playground makes me very happy.

As I run to the awesome  tremendous playground I feel the slide rubbing against my skin and  the tough strong rope as I swing. I feel the nice and warm timber and my foot scraping against the bark. The first thing I hear is the bark scrunching and the loud fast flying fox going back and forward. You can see steam from my cold breath. I can smell wet brown bark and I feel the cloudy windy air. That’s why love the fantastic playground.

As I run to get my hot dog I pause and smell the delicious smell. I can see the coldness of the fog coming out of my mouth. As I walk to the Hardwick Room I can hear my sister playing the noisy drums. As I climb on the tall tower I can hear the beautiful Bell Birds singing. I can feel the yucky squishy bark under my feet. I love the playground!

When I run to the amazing playground I can see a speedy flying fox and misty fog over the trees. I can feel a bumpy, rough, tough tree under my hands and bumpy soggy wood. I can hear birds singing, tapping on the concrete, instruments and people laughing. I can smell cold air and sizzling hot dogs. I am amazed that we have a outstanding playground.                    by Ollie

As I walk outside to the playground I smell stinky, disgusting shoes stamping on the playground, the kids delicious food on the side of the playground and the cold fresh air.
Then I see misty annoying fog, bird poo on the seats and the kids playing. Next I hear loud drums from the classroom, kids screaming so loud and loud rumbling of the cars passing me. After that I finally feel the cold wind in my face, hard bumpy rope, the cold smooth metal and hard wet wood of the tower. I think my playground is really cool!

As I hurry to the awesome playground I smell fresh air that makes me run and smile. The smelly dirt catches my nose and makes me say “Yuck!!!”  I can smell lots and lots of metal. When I start to play with my friends I see people having fun and laughing. When I am about to get tagged I see brown, sharp bark under my feet. I will also see my cousin Joey, he’s a seagull. Finally I tag someone and the sun is in my eyes but I try not to look at that. Then I hear birds singing lovely songs and the bushes rustling. After I hear the birds and the bushes, two teachers walk past and I can hear their boots clinking and clacking. When I bump into a metal pole it is cold and hard. Then I stroke a tree and it feels like my cats scratching me. The play ground is awesome.

When I walk out to the playground I can smell the cold, moist air and the very wet wood. I can also see the thick fog and the cold, wet metal. It is slippery. I can hear a quiet chirping Bell Bird in the tree. There is also loud, booming drums in the distance. I can feel the crunchy bark under my feet and the bumpy tree under my fingers. I can smell the hot sausages on the BBQ. I can see the skilfully made spider webs that cling on to the bars tightly. I feel really excited that we have such an awesome playground.

As I walk onto the playground following my friends suddenly I can feel the dampness of the bark,  the bitter breeze, the cold metal pole waiting to be used, the hard, light, soft, damp, wood, the rope tying onto my fingers and the wet grass under my feet. I can smell the freshness of the air, the rain dripping on the school grounds, the freshly mowed lawn and the sausages sizzling. In the distance I can see kids laughing having fun playing on the playground, the teachers talking and kids swinging from object to object. I can also see the birds whistling in the trees, I can see the extra huge tower with students hanging from it, the educational classrooms with teachers working in them and the silent flowers swinging in the distance. I would not like to hear the bell ring after lunch only at home-time. I can hear the rain dripping on my head as I glide through the wind. The soft laughing from children above, the squeals of delight and the shouting and screaming from playing tag ,is always the sound you make. I love the playground ,field and courts.

As I walk towards the incredible playground I can smell a very stinky worm farm and the yummy, delightful hotdogs cooking. As I walk closer to the playground I hear Bellbirds singing very sweetly and the beat of drums making incredible noise. Also I can hear people whistling very softly. When I’m at the playground I see old wrappers, rubbish that is dirty and I see pretty birds flying high in the blue sky. I see lots of people playing games and the blue pool with lots of ducks swimming around. I can feel super stiff rope sliding as I touch it. I feel very slippery rubber. I feel happy because we have awesome playgrounds.

As I walk outside I can’t wait to go and play on the playground , the first the first thing I see are the teachers walking slowly to the staffroom and chatting to each other. As I climb on the bitterly cold metal ladder I can see the boy’s playing rugby on the field they score a goal and yell “Goal”. Just then a salty breeze comes wafting in and brings with it a wet and airy smell from the wood. I wait for my friends and try and busy myself. I go to play on the monkey bars, my hands sting softly like rain is falling on them. I jump down and go and lean against a tree and I can feel the rough bark on my back. As I stand there I can hear the wind rustling of the leaves. Do I want to stay here? I ask no is the answer to that question, so I go and climb up the rope ladders .I can feel the rope burn wrecking my hands. That’s better the cold wet dew is so nice on my hands. Look there’s peter he’s taking down the red flag and the girls trading stickers. Some people are playing tag, someone’s got tagged “Tag “they say. I like our playground because it’s challenging and interesting and I like the way that it has lots of high places that you can go if you want some peace and quiet. I like our playground!

After I have finished my lunch I walk to the big, blue, awesome playground. I can smell all the yummy things in people’s lunch boxes and chlorine from the big blue swimming pool. I see lots of happy, joyful faces and all the beautiful colours of the playground. I sometimes I hear lots of people talking and laughing loudly and the mud squishing under my feet. My friends and I feel the cold, wet, hard metal on our hands and the smooth, wet wood under my feet. It makes me feel great that we have such a big, challenging playground at our school.

As I go to the playground the first thing I notice is I can smell the rubber shoes and the lumpy bark. Then I can hear loud stomping. Next I hear crashing waves. I can also hear Breda whistling. I feel lumpy, bumpy bark and the smoothest metal ever. I can see people screaming with laughter and I can hear the squawking seagulls and the icy people.

As I walk out to the playground the first thing I notice is the smell.  I smell fresh smoky air, wet, cold wood and hotdogs cooking.  I can see lumpy, bumpy trees, dirty rubbish, white fog and shiny red scooters. I can hear loud drums banging away, the rumbling of my tummy, and loud stomping. I can feel the wetness and the cool metal under my hands when I swing on the monkey-bars. Then I can feel bumpy bark underneath my toes and the wet soggy playground I feel happy about the playground.
